Kaepernick7 takes HEAT from Jay Z, who said, “[Kaepernick] turned his “legitimate workout” into a publicity stunt.” According to @XXL and @nydailynews the billionaire rapper, and mogul, said that “he took a reputational bullet” after signing a deal with the @NFL to help with @kaepernick7 and social justice issues. From these statements, we LEARN that Jay Z is extremely disappointed things aren’t going as he’d planned, or are they.

The Root in its recent article entitled, “Here’s the Waiver Colin Kaepernick Was Asked to Sign to Get Back on the NFL’s Plantation,” clearly inferred that the entire “Sham one-man slave auction combine for Colin Kaepernick... was [definitely] a publicity stunt.” A Public relations [Stunt], a [vicious] hoax reportedly concocted by Jay-Z, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, and NFL owners.”

Ever since the former San Francisco 49ers quarterback “Took a Knee” for racial injustice and police brutality during the National Anthem, @kaepernick7 has been DENIED the opportunity to PLAY football with the @NFL and has become, good or bad, a continuous TOPIC of discussion. Three (3) years after having been dropped from the 49ers, after settling an undisclosed collusion grievance with the @NFL and still an unrestricted free agent, kaepernick is still taking a knee. The football star was offered an unprecedented personal football combine at the Atlanta Falcons facility in Georgia. The @NFL gave KAEPERNICK this offer with minutes to inform them if he consented. He accepted. What many don’t know, the @NFL basically wanted to dictate and control the entire workout. They adamantly refused all press attendance, no videotaping outside of the NFL’s pwn production crew, and the signing of an onerous waiver before allowing him to showcase his skills. He DENIED.

Why? Some asked. Why did Kaepernick deny attending the established workout with the NFL and relocate to his own controlled workout? Well, according to our sources, that three-page, 13-paragraph document contained several specific provisions that the NFL was trying to parlay the waiver into a RELEASE of any claims for collusion/retaliation that Kaepernick could make as a result of his ongoing unemployment by the league.

In paragraph No. 7 [IRONICALLY], it states in part that, “In consideration for the opportunity to participate in the Workout, Player, for himself, his personal representatives, executors, administrators, heirs, successors and assigns, hereby releases, discharges, and agrees to indemnify and hold harmless National Invitational Camp, Inc., National Football Scouting, Inc., the owner(s), operator(s) and manager(s) of the Facility, any and all individuals participating in or present at the Workout, including, without limitation, Joe Philbin, the National Football League (‘NFL’) and each of its 32 NFL Member Clubs, and each of the foregoing parties’ respective direct and indirect affiliates, partners, subsidiaries, agents, representatives, employees, shareholders, officers, directors, attorneys, insurers, successors and assigns (collectively, the ‘Released Parties’), from and against any and all claims, demands, actions, causes of action, suits, grievances, costs, losses, expenses, damages, injuries, illnesses, and losses (including death) caused by, arising out of, occurring during, or related directly or indirectly to the Workout, Player’s presence at the Facility, and any medical treatment or services rendered in connection with or necessitated by Player’s participation in the Workout.”

This language leaves the door sufficiently WIDE OPEN for a subsequent defense to a collusion/retaliation case, that signing the waiver extinguished the claims. In the waiver, we find that there’s enough language in the waiver to give a prudent, careful lawyer legitimate concern that an aggressive litigator would later argue that signing the document defeats all potential employment claims that Kaepernick could have made. Thus, Kaepernick moves to have TRANSPARENCY in their dealings, and subtly, yet intelligently EXPOSEs the ill intent of the @NFL.

In layman terms, The NFL was trying to get Kaepernick to willingly or unwillingly sign a WAIVER that would dismiss the NFL from any future Kaepernick claims or grievances, that may arise. Kaepernick is a SMART and intelligently SOUND Athlete who was SHARP enough to catch the fine printed clauses in the small window of time he was given, a TIME and “Window” the NFL created and knew FULL well the average ATHLETE wouldn’t catch. @stephenasmith

In closing, William C. Rhoden said in an article in The Undefeated, “ many NFL teams do not want a player of Kaepernick’s vision, insight and influence in a locker room full of impressionable young black players who might have their eyes opened by what Kaepernick has to say.

As a young player, Kaepernick beat teams with his arm and his legs. Today at age 32, Kaepernick can win with his mind as well. That is what he did Saturday.

That’s what frightens the NFL.

Stay @ntund_
