king Von an up and coming rapper from Chicago, unfortunately was gunned down in a violent shootout early Friday morning, outside Monaco Hookah Lounge, in Atlanta, GA. According to reports, Von, born Dayvon Bennett, 26, and his Entourage, got into an argument with a group of men outside the lounge around 3:20am, leading to gunfire. Police said, three people were found shot at the scene, while three others, including King Von, left the scene and later taken to the hospital by private vehicles.
King Avon hailed from Parkway Gardens, the low-income apartments also known as O’ Block on the city’s South Side. Signed to his affiliate LiL Dirk record label “Only The Family Entertainment,” Oct 30, he released his third album, “Welcome to O’ Block,” and saw streaming numbers hit the roof, thanks to his fans. But things weren’t that sweet a year ago. According to reports, He and LiL Durk were charged with attempted murder and other felonies for their role in a robbery outside the Varsity fast-food restaurant. Both were released on bond and the case still remains open.
