Kodak Black
Kodak Black, as we know, was hit with a four year prison sentence for lying on background paperwork while attempting to buy firearms. We’re told that he lied about his criminal history while purchasing guns. According to AP, @kodakblack was out on bond for sexual assault charges in California and he purchased firearms, which is a Federal Offense.
The 22yr old Florida Rapper, whose legal name is Bill Kapri (though born Dieuson Octave), admitted to lying on background check forms while buying multiple firearms in two different incidents earlier this year. In a NYT article, “prosecutors said, two of the guns were later found by the police at crime scenes, including one — with Black’s fingerprints and a live round in the chamber — that had been used to fire at a “rival rap artist.” Although Black’s fingerprints were found, he has not been charged in any of the shootings.
However, immediately after having been sentenced to 46 months for the background check case, state prosecutors have now charged the artist with two counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, with each charge carrying a maximum prison sentence of 30 years. In addition, the artist is still waiting on a trail date for his sexual assault case in California, which he can face up to at least 60 years.
According to @tmz and sources close to @kodakblack “a lot of people want to see [kodak] jammed up.” They held these suspicions after [kodak] got involved into a prison fight last month that left a guard injured. His associates believe the entire incident was a setup where someone slipped something in [Kodak’s] drink to set him off. They also thinks it's rather suspicious that “the other inmate [Kodak] was fighting, was placed in [Kodak’s] prison area earlier in the day, and the same inmate was released on bond about 12 hours after the brawl. Kodak's team says the fact the fight went down 2 weeks before his sentencing is also fishy.”
